Luiseño ReservationsTraditionally the Luiseno-Juaneno people occupied approximately 50 miles of the southern California coastline, north of present-day San Diego and sout of Los angeles, notrth of the lands of the Kumeyaay, extending inland for about 30 miles. |

San Diego ReservationsSan Diego County has the largest number of reservations in the the United States, but the reservations are quite small. According to the San Diego government, the total land holdings are slightly more than 124,000 acres, or about 193 square miles of the 4,205 square miles that make up San Diego County. The 1990 census listed only 2,200 of the 20,000 Native Americans from the four tribal groups located in San Diego County lived on reservation land. |
