In the early to mid 1900's, the Kumeyaay decided it was time to take back what had been stolen from them: The sovereign right to control their own destiny. Establishing their rights to sovereignty has been a long, hard fought battle. The Kumeyaay define the Sovereignty of the people as perpetual, so long as we exist inside creation. |
