The La Jolla Indian Reservation was est. in 1875, by executive Ulysses S. Grant. This reservation consists of 9,998 acres of Federal Land and around 702 enrolled Tribal Members. Much of the land is undisturbed and is located at the foothills of Palomar Mountain. A semi-wilderness Reservation with the San Luis Rey River running through it, that is also fed by natural springs.
The Tribe operates the La Jolla Indian Reservation Campground which features a waterpark, trading post and the modest La Jolla Indian Slot Arcade which recently opened.
