Whom are we?
Sycuan Inter-Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation, SITVR, is a San Diego County, “Employment Outcome” program for an underserved Indian population.
What can SITVR do?
- 1. SITVR can help obtain General Education Diploma, Certificates and degrees.
- SITVR can also help individuals maintain current employment. .
- SITVR can help overcome your challenge to employment and therefore help maintain your employment: Injured on the job and need ability devices or you may have nagging injuries impeding your employment
- SITVR will work in collaboration with any organization that will help our Indian people achieve their goals.
Who can we help?
The SITVR program can help federally enrolled American Indian people with disabilities; to assist in making informed choices, build a new career, and live more independently in the community. Each applicant’s eligibility must be established prior to receiving SITVR services.
- Is the applicant an enrolled member of a Federally or State Recognized Tribe?
- Does the applicant live on or near the reservation/service area?
- Does the applicant have a physical or mental impairment?
- Does the physical or mental impairment cause substantial impediment to employment?
- Is there a reasonable expectation in terms of employment outcome that the applicant will benefit from SITVR services?
- Does the applicant require SITVR services in order to achieve an employment outcome?
- Applicant must want to work
